Planning and Allocating in dynamic situations. 

Many companies find themselves in the position of amending a plan in progress to accommodate a new requirement. Typically for a transport company for example, this could mean collecting some pallets and the company has to determine which of 3 vehicles in the area is best suited to collect given loading, delivery times, resources etc.
This can be a very complex analytical problem and generally speaking, a decision is often made by a best guess.  However, it should be possible with real time information from PDA (mobile worker) units, tracking and system information to automate the process and automatically suggest the best vehicle for the collection.
